Early Life: Adrienne Eliza Bailon was born to her Puerto Rican mother Nilda Alicea and an Ecuadorian father, Freddie Bailon, in Manhattan, New York on October 24, 1983. Her parents divorced and she was raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan by her mother and stepfather Joe Felix. She attended PS 110-The Monitor in Brooklyn and then the High School for Health Professions and Human Services, but ended up not pursuing a career in the medical field because of her passion for music.
